Date: 2006-04-26 12:41 am (UTC)that kind of dress but with solid sleeves instead of the kind that lace up the "top" of the sleeves.... and you talked about filling out the skirt a bit more so I wouldn't be as top heavy.

Date: 2006-04-30 07:25 pm (UTC)It usually takes about 5.5-6.6 yards of 60" wide for that style - I put a full circle skirt on mine, attached flush to the bodice. the sleeves are cut out of the big triangular shaped pieces leftover from cutting the circle skirt, and then the bodice is generally cut from a seperate piece, unless the person is teeny enough to have it cut from whatever's left from the skirt cutout. (Did that make *any* sense? *grin*)
