I have about a yard or so of navy, turquoise and golds yarn (very badly spun) on my pretty new drop spindle....

How much is a spinning wheel???? (Drat it now I want a wheel, a loom, more wool... Josh is with me on getting an alpaca though!)

I don't actually have a spinning wheel, but a friend of mine suggests that your best bet for an inexpensive wheel is to cruise thrift/antique stores, and be willing to do a few repairs. That's how she got hers, only $100, and about $25 in repair parts.
