It's official, I am insane!
Jun. 12th, 2004 09:24 pmI have a cardboard box on my bed right now laid out in a 1"x1" inch grid. 1/4 inch offray ribbon is pined to it on teh grid lines. I am now sewing each intersection with a glass seed bead to make it into a grid. The resulting material should become my new snood.
In other words the hat is finished save an ostrich plume, but JoAnns was out to the right size :(. I did get some winderfull linen remnets and a nice size brocade bit in white cotton/poly. I will probably attempt dying in at some point...a neat forepart sleeves combo for something....
I ended up drooling over embroidery machines today. Got some neat ideas about businesses that could justify me buying one on the nice expensive machines! erm after the college loans are paid off.
I'm eligible for tuition reembursment now...so off to Franklin to find out about their compressed classes for september/october and January through march. Woohoo, I may actually get my second degree! (I have an associates in English, I want a Masters in Business eventually).
The doublet is sewn together, at least the outer shell. I need one more fitting and then I will cut the lining and a pattern to keep on file. Next step shoulder rolls and more skirts and arranging trim.
Well off to find food.
