over and hour and a half to get to work.... bumper to bumper until I hit the highway... then it was bumper to bumper but we were going over 2 miles an hour. Grrrr.
Growing up near Cleveland, it never ceases to amaze me how afraid of snow people are here in SW Ohio. I mean there is respectful caution (going out to your car 15 minutes early to warm/scrape it, lowering your speed a little), and then there is the near panic I see down here. The accumulation was 2-4 inches, and started around Midnight or a little earlier. Back where I grew up, no one blinked twice about 2-4 inches over 12 hours.
I learned to drive out here but I'm from NY land of drifts above my eyeballs. After Mom and I had to drive Newerk in a "blizzard" and it was mostly just lots of wind I stopped freaking out. Ice storms though... those are teh suck!
Man, I thought that Fairborn and the areas around here were bad at plowing, but I got to work no problem - even early and I was running late. That totally sucks, sorry *hugs*
