jayeneI left work today at 4:50 pm raced home and took a 5 minute shower and changed clothes to race to Dave & busters for the SCM dinner. I was 6 minutes late but considering how far away it was I was impressed. I lost at pool spectacularly twice, talked shop wth the other managers and didn't feel like a complete idiot most of the time. The head honchos did not come over to the store today, they come tomorrow, which means getting up early to clean again. Marty is backing off and letting me run the store which is good but frustrating as there are things I don't know how to do very well or at all and I make mistakes.
The good thing is that they are not going to force me to take it over completely if I am not ready...they will work with me. Thank the gods.
I got back home tonight about 9 ish and found the apartment cleaned up and laundry in the washer, plus the dishwasher running. Yea! Hopefully after tomorrow I can go do laundry or grocery shop.
Next monday I leave for Lexington for 3-4 days for more classes and fun, then back to "normal" at work. should be interesting....sigh...why did I decide to grow up?
