Firefly by Joss Whedon is my new fandom. I admit I'm a bit over the top but I am amazed at just how well done the entire series is. I have a whole group of people going to the premiere together right now. As some other know, I am also a filker. Everyone once and I while I actually write a song. I'm still working out the melody/key for this. Writing it at work is problematic in that regurad. I have to wait till I get home till I can muddle arround on an instrument. The first verse and chorus is inspired by "The water is wide" but I'm heading off in my own direction with the tune as well.

no but I have a Navy blue Irish dress that will fit her, either and angel sleeved Leine style chemiese or a more traditional chemiese. I also have a muffin cap or I can make a flower garland for her. :) No problem. And I can bring all of it to the wedding.

I like your words, and I haven't even seen Firefly yet. I do sing "the water is wide" to myself at work now and again. It keeps me calm and helps keep me from going off on people. There's one guy at work who can't find his own ass with both hands and a rearview mirror, and I've been biting my tongue about that.

Wonder what Echo's Children might come up with. "Rest in Me," about Babylon 5, is one of my favorite songs... and I never saw B5 either.

I think that Stacey and I are headed down Friday night (we're transporting stolen goods... er.. I mean Pat's girlfriend), but I'm not sure where we're staying just yet. I'll let you know.
