Jan. 27th, 2006 02:05 pmToday was the first day I noticed them. It's been unseasonably warm up here the last weeks but I noticed there was still a little bit of snow in the shadows. This morning it went down to 32 and there was frst on the wondow for the first time in a few days. That is where I saw them. The looked like little garden gnomes no bigger then my pinky nail. They were climbing around on my windsheild and running for their lives from my ice scraper. I thought I was losing my mind. Ice gnomes on my windshield? But once I had cleared enough to be able to drive (no I didn't squash any of them, who do you think I am?), the scuttled back up towards the top where it was still frosty. By the time I got to work my car was thawed and they were gone. Has anyone else seen these little guys?
