I spent the weekend sewing, cleaning and generally preparing things for the week. I didn't get much done. Only one shirt and tunic and cutting out several wrap pants. Monday was more sewing and packing. Josh came home from cedarpoint arround 6 and he tried things on and crashed. Tuesday we both woke up early and cleaned and packed. Yea! The house is looking much better and we are continuing the trend. We packed everything up printed directions, then realized after we had packed that we wanted to come back home before we went to ashton. We are goofy we drove an hour off in the other direction of ashton to cuddle with our cats for a few hours.
The hotel was lovely. I highly recomend it if you can get a discounted room. It's expensive but the cupon we had gave us one week night free. The food is marvalous there, though expensive. We opted to go out for lunch and dinner. The first night we went out for dinner in Logan and came back in time to try out the whirlpool :) 'Nise like! We are going to have to get one if we build or buy a house. My only down point was their ac is out of control cold at night. We set it at 75degrees at night and it got down below 60. Next time we keep the gas fire burning all ngiht long. The next day we got up early for breakfast and then took a hike through the gorge. I wish it has rained more, the waterfalls were trickles or less but the screnery was gorgeous. We came back to the whirlpool (what a wonderful thing!) and then headed to town for lunch. Our major down point was the bookstore we were looking for was nowhere to be found! :( We did find a place called the Spotted Owl Cafe and had lunch there. Afterwards we brought dinner back and relaxed. More whirlpool! I was a prune when we left. Another wonderful breakfast and back on the road by 10. We came home cleaned some more and I knocked out the first pair of wrap pants. The kittens were pleased to see us and we both took naps and finished NERO packing. We headed out (with frequent stops on the way) to Oyo by 2 and managed the drive down in good time. Ashton was not at all as I had left it! My character wandered arround going but but you were w gypsy and you were little, and you were dead! Well not the dead part. I enjoyed playing Koren again. Sneaky is fun though I need to work on my shadow skulking skills. The most fun was running arround and watching the battle with the elementals. Overall I had a blast. Memorable moments Phillips story, that man has a great sense of commedic timming. The whole bardic contest was a hoot! I was a bit hampered by every pair of shoes that I had on site giving me enourmous blisters but buying sneakeres on sunday fixed that. We got home early Sunday morning with a desire to crash in our own beds and slept till 5 pm (at least I did). Then off to gaming where the whole session seemed to be a blame game. Good RP though. I may need to make a new character to stay with the group though. We'll see how Sunday goes.
That was my vacation....
