The day started with the obligatory muttering "damned escalators not designed for fifteenth century dresses." Contrary to my fears my skirt did not get stuck at any point in the con. I wandered arround in circles trying to find registration "go left at the stairs." "erm which way is left?" Registered, almost took someone elses badge. What would be the odds that another Denise was registering at the same time. Looked through the programing but I arrived at about 11 and the next panel started at 11:30. I wandered through the art show, drooling over the firefly and bab 5 art work. After that I decided to finish the waist of my over dress and was fiddling with that when the Wendy lady walked by. Much hugging ensued and I completed the dress and sewed myself into it just in time to run to belly dancing. It's hard to shimme when you have never done it before and are wearing two dresses, one with padded pleats. Sweaty 'Nise, but I had a blast.
I bought cookies and handed them out during the con to any and all that I passed. After the belly dancing I sat in on a concert, then a panel on world building. Once that was through there was just enough time to jump into the Firefly game. It was a oneshot on a d20 varient system and everyone played the crew of the firefly. Only one persopn had never seen the show and he bowed out pretty early. I played River... No typecasting there. :) Many compliments were given for my performance, though everyone there was great. It's a bit wrong though when Wash has a higher "kill' count then Jayne. Andy played an awesome shepard Book and much merriment ensued.

Dinner followed with a peek at the chaos machine and sewing someone else in her costume and lacing another person in a corset. I caught the tail end of open filk and then it was Buffy sing along.....
It's still stuck in my head.
More later.
