I've been a bad sewer... :(
Jul. 12th, 2004 10:53 pmI really have very little to say about my projects. I am still intimidated by the velvet and silk to cut the cranach gown and I haven't gotten off my butt about making the mock-up. The florentine gown still needs hemmed and the overdress made...erm patterned. The french/spanish middle class doublet is coming together though. I need to redo the collar and cut new epaulets for the bottom layer and test drive the sleeves. I have the undersleeves sewn together and they just need trimmed and finished nicely. I am trying the gaurds on the bodice front but so far they are not working for me. The hat is done except for a feather and a pewtery fleur de lis button. Once the doublte is done I need to make a new smock (trimed with lace!) and make the skirts. I'm handsewing a lot of this right now b/c my main time to sew seems to be gaming. Go figure. Since all I do is sketch things, run NPC's and assist the plot meister a lot gets done. Last time i got the nect finished, the collar sewn to the neck, the sleeves sewn and half the first gaurd (which may not remain there.
