I got silk! lots of it coming to my door! I found a navy blue silk crepe that looks great for my wedding dress and some silk organza to use to line the drape of the dress and some raw silk that will be going to loose pants and a dublet for Josh. :) Yea!
In other words, work is slowly getting better. Valentines day was nothing special this year. I worked from 8 am till nearly 7 pm and Josh was at work for most of that as well. We ended up getting a couch from a freind of ours to use for the time being and after all of that I fell asleep before 9 and Josh could get home with dinner. We went La Chanteline, a wonderful french resteraunt today and had lunch then Josh works at 5. :( I'll probably go gaming after that with the usual group and finish my kirtle. I had to rip the dratted thing apart once already and remake it but it fitts much better now. All it really needs is the skirt attached and then some lacing rings a hem and slesves.
Oh for all other costumers out there Firemountain gems now sells soldiered sterling 8mm jumprings. I think it was 4-5 bucks for 50 rings.
I'm hoping to have the first part of my costume finished next weekend. I'm going to end up with a lot of hand sewing time on the ride up to work training weds and thurs, plus down time in the hotel. I think monday I'm going to pick up a novel to read during the down time.
